Erin and Bob Engagement | North Canton Ohio Engagement Photographer

Boasting 18 reservations filled with over 100 hiking trails and eight lakefronts, Cleveland Metroparks is the oldest park district in the state of Ohio. This cluster of parks, celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this year, has always held an allure for me as a photographer. It is a long drive from North Canton and I was waiting for the right kind of adventurous couple to go exploring in the park with me. When Erin and Bob, a couple I have known and loved for years, asked me to take their engagement photos, I knew the time had arrived. So we piled into our cars, and off to the Hinckley Reservation we drove.

Adventuring through the park with this pair of nerdy, outdoorsy soulmates, stopping periodically to jump out of the car for photos, was a perfect way to spend a day. They were naturals in front of the camera and were willing to give any pose or location that popped into my head a try. And the long drive was so worth it! The fall foliage was showing off its full glory, and the sunset by the lake that set the sky on fire was unforgettable. The crystal-clear blues of the lake, the golden hues of the leaves and the cotton-candy-pinks in the clouds made this one of my most vibrant and colorful shoots in recent memory, perfectly matching the effervescent love between Erin and Bob.

Next year, these two will be getting married in a Myrtle Beach destination wedding, and I am crossing off the days on my calendar until their wedding arrives! Until then, I will be revisiting the pictures of this beautiful afternoon spent at Hinckley Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks over and over. Take a look at some of my favorites below.
